Jesus Teaches About Anger and Killing

Matthew 5: 22

But I tell you that whoever is angry with his brother will be guilty and have to suffer for his wrong-doing. will have to stand in front of the court of heaven.

If I am angry I must make right what is wrong benteen me and him and ask forgiveness.

If I Keep God's Laws, I will be called great

God’s Ten Great Laws
1. There can be no other Gods, you are the only God.
2. I shall never hurt / kill another, but show my love to all.
3. I shall have no other gods, but worship you alone.
4. I shall be a faithful wife if I marry one day.
5. I shall not misuse your name, but keep it special for you.
6. I shall never steal or cheat, but leave other people’s things.
7. I shall always rest on Sundays, it is your special day
8. I shall never tell a lie, but always tell the truth.
9. I shall always honour my parents, then I shall be blessed..
10. I shall never envy others, I’m happy with what I‘ve got.

Matthew 5:19
He, who obeys and teaches others to obey what the Law of Moses says, will be called great in the holy nation of heaven.

People who obey the law will get a “star “and a “ merit “ in heaven.

Jesus teaches us to be happy: Matthew 5:3,4 5, 6,7,9

“Those who know there is nothing good in themselves are happy……..
Those who have sorrow are happy….
Those who have no pride in their hearts are happy….
Those who are hungry and thirsty to be right with God are happy,
Those who show loving- kindness shown to them are happy….
Those who make peace are happy……”
Those who suffer because they do the right thing happy...
Those who are persecuted believe in me happy..."

Jesus can heal
Matthew 4 :23
Jesus healed all kinds of sickness and disease among the people.
Psalm 6:2 Prayer for help
Be kind to me, O Lord, because I am weak, O Lord, heal me for my bones are shaken. My soul is in great suffering.
Jesus can heal anything, including me, but I must ask.
Jesus heals me, because He loves me.
Jesus healed people to show that He was God.

Fishing for Jesus

Matthew 4:19-20
They were putting a net into the sea for they were fisherman. Jesus said to them, “Follow me. I will make you fish for men!” At once they left their net and followed Him.

I must follow Jesus.
I must obey Him at once.
I must teach other people about Jesus, so that they become His disciples.

John,the Baptist

Matthew 3:2-10
Be sorry for your sins and turn from them! The holy nation heaven is near,”
Every tree that does not give good fruit is cut down thrown into the fire.

I must repent, before it is too late.


Love: Corinthians 13: 3,4,5,6,7
If I give all I possess to the poor but have not love, Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast it is not self
seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Obedience: Matthew 3:15,17
We should do what is right.” John agreed and baptized Jesus.
A voice was heard from heaven. It said, “This is My much-love Son. I am very happy with Him.”

Jesus wanted to show that He was a man and it was right for John to baptize people. Jesus is also God. We must also be obedient.

Matthew 2:13 -14
An angel of the Lord came to Joseph in a dream. He said, “ Get up. Take the young Child and His mother to …Egypt. Go as fast as you can…. During the night He got up and left with the young Child and His mother for Egypt.


I must also listen to God.
